Good evening everyone! I received a call today asking for assistance for a man named Richie, he was willing to trade a Kroger card for his past due amount. He lives in the neighborhood behind the church and works at Chic-fil-a. The bill he is  past due on is his power bill, he was to pay 187.00 by today to avoid cut off. Although I felt like I could not afford to pay the bill I also felt a need to help and tried calling Cobb EMC this evening to make the payment.  Unfortunately, Cobb EMC declined my payment, I assume because it was to late to avoid cut off. I am going to call them in the morning and see if they can help me determine how much is due to pay the bill and get his electricity turned on. I know that this man is a stranger to us, but he has reached out to us. I am wondering if a number of you (18 or so) would be willing to pitch in $10 to pay towards the bill and allow Richie and his family to keep the Kroger card for the groceries I am sure they will be in need of.
