Dear [FIRSTNAME]

My mother was re-admitted to the hospital this past weekend. After spending 20 days at the rehab program she was sent home still bedridden. She had also been having problems with eating again, and diarrhea. Last weekend she suddenly had an unstoppable bout of chronic diarrhea. It was nonstop for two days. She went to the emergency room at Emory Adventist Hospital near her home. (This makes 3 different hospitals in two months.) The good news is that this doctor seems a lot more interested in figuring out what is wrong with her, and began treating her to see if she had an infection in her colon. She also has a urinary tract infection, she's very dehydrated, her limbs are still a little swollen, and she has a rash on her face. Today the doctor announced that he believes she may have a bacteria. She is going to be moved to a different room so that she is more isolated from the rest of the hospital until they are sure what it is. They are running a bunch of blood tests on her today to try and track it down.

Please be praying that we will see some some light at the end of the tunnel soon. After finally feeling that my Mom had stabilized, it was a real blow to us to see her suddenly get worse. Please be praying for a full recovery for my Mom, that she would walk again, be able to eat again, that the swelling and pain would subside, and that she could return to being the independent, lively woman she was only two and a half months ago. Please be praying for inspiration for Dr. Lacmanovic, that the Lord will give him wisdom about what to do to help my mother.

I will tell you something cool about this particular hospital... they are believers. When you are admitted they ask you your religion and ask if there are any religious services you want done during your stay. I told them to pray for her and they said they would. And they have a picture of Jesus hanging in the elevator. Doesn't that rock? Thanks.
