	Dear [FIRSTNAME]
	Hello, just wanted to update everyone on the situation with my Mom. They gave my Mom a stomach feeding tube and finally discharged her. Her last week in the hospital was the worst as far as her mental state was concerned, but since she has been home she has been very positive and coherent. She is being visited at home several times per week by a home health care nurse and a physical therapist. She is still receiving steroids to treat the dermatomyositis and flagyl to finish off her bacterial infection. She will start seeing a rheumatologist in a couple of weeks. The stomach tube is still her primary means of eating, but she has been eating solid foods as well. The liquid that was collecting in her arms and legs has dissipated. The issues between my stepdad and my family have smoothed out somewhat. Now that my Mom's condition is stable, we hope that she can remain that way and start to get better from here. Please be praying that my Mom's condition will improve, that she will be able to walk on her own again and do all of the mundane tasks she used to do on her own again. Be praying that the dermatomyositis immune disease will retreat and be healed. And that her nutrition levels will stay up. Also, please be praying for their finances. My Mom has lost her job and only has social security now. My step dad is on unemployment. Thank you all so much for your prayers. We're not out of the woods yet and still need more. -Kip
